The 'Greatest Live Hits of the 50s' CD is now in stock. You can now listen to a sample of the remastered sound and the dramatic improvement in sound quality achieved by MRS.

The 24 track CD is most varied compilation to date, containing only the best live performances, making the ultimate live set list of the 1950's. For the first time on General Release, it has 8 new live tracks that have all been re-mastered and are now significantly and noticeably improved, than before. The CD also contains for the first time, an unreleased live version of 'I Forgot to Remember to Forget' from October 1955. The engineer used on this CD is the same engineer that was used on the '77 Orlando Show from the 'The Final Curtain' set from last year and we all heard the amazing transformation he did on that!

Sound samples

In the first sample below we have a back to back comparison of Little Mama : First up is 23 seconds of the version from the FTD box set, A Boy From Tupelo, then a fade and into 38 seconds of the remastered MRS version. You will be able to hear a very clear improvement. Then we have audio comparisons of the new song, I Forgot To Remember To Forget, speed corrected and with a clever overdub of Bill Black’s playing from the original studio master to give the song an extra boost : here it sounds great, on a proper hi-fi, unbelievable.

A new Elvis Presley recording has been discovered and played online and we have the video and audio for you. The song is I Forgot To Remember To Forget from a Louisiana Hayride performance in 1955. The recording is said to be audio taped from a TV broadcast, just audio the actual film does not exist.

The video is of 'wire recorder' playing, we have two versions for you, one with just the song the other the complete video with an explanation as to the origins of the tape and how it was recorded.

The reaction from Ernst Jorgensen:

'Wow it's unbelievably beautiful. I'm still trying to recover from the shock'.

Elvis Presley Video Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD

Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD + 16 page booklet.

Never before have we seen an Elvis Presley concert from the 1950's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered unreleased film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don't Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
