Birmingham + High Sierra FTD CDs released

The May FTD CD releases have been released. There are two sets for a total of 3 discs with 3 live concerts. The first, Showtime! Birmingham / Dallas '76 2 CD set shows Elvis in great shape at two excellent concerts and comes packaged as a 5" digipack with 8-page booklet. The Birmingham Show is from the Jefferson County Coliseum and Dallas from the Memorial Auditorium. The second is High Sierra and features a concert recorded on May 21, 1974 at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel with additional highlights from other shows that month and again is released in a 5" digipack format with an 8-page booklet. The original source tape is damaged. We have chosen to keep track 6 & 7 on this release for historical reasons in spite of the damage. However 'Hound Dog', performed between 'Hurt' and 'Unchained Melody' was beyond any element of repair and has consequently been left out.

High Sierra

High Sierra is a soundboard concert that features mainly the performance from May 21, 1974 at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel with additional highlights from other shows that month.

High Sierra is released in a 5" digipack format with an 8-page booklet.

Elvis Presley Video Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD

Never before have we seen an Elvis Presley concert from the 1950's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered unreleased film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don't Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever. + Plus Bonus DVD Audio.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
