FTD (Follow That Dream), Sony BMG's Official Elvis Presley Collectors label was estabished in 1999 to serve the dedicated Elvis collector and to complement the commercial and artistic level of RCA's retail release schedule by issuing repertoire that is considered of interest to serious Elvis fans and collectors, material that is generally not part of mainstream RCA label releases to the public at large.

There are the original Collectors CD's with CDs ranging from soundboard recorded concerts (Recorded from the mixing desk in mono) to full RCA professionally recorded concerts in stereo and some great alternate take CDs - Such as The Jungle Room Sessions and Memphis Sessions etc, later FTD introduced the Elvis Classic Album Series where they release the original Elvis albums in deluxe 7" size packaging with a booklet and a usually a second CD of out takes from the same period as the recordings on the album. There is also the Movie Soundtrack Series usually released as a single CD but again in deluxe 7" packaging with booklet.

Another Saturday Night FTD 5" Soundboard Concert CD

FTD will release Another Saturday Night in their 5" Soundboard Concert CD series at the end of April. If one place is to be picked as the most important in the career of Elvis Presley, it is without doubt Shreveport in the northwest part of Louisiana. The exposure that Elvis got through the radio broadcast of The Louisiana Hayride in 1954-56 was one of the key factors of establishing the early part of his career. With the exception of Las Vegas, there is no place where Elvis played more shows, and his return to the city in 1975 was like a homecoming to both Elvis and the many fans he had there since he started out. FTD have chosen to release the soundboard from the evening show of June 7, definitely a show that Elvis and the audience truly enjoy, and with a great set list featuring old and new favourites. 5" digipack with an eight-page booklet.

Welcome Home Elvis 1960 : Hardcover Book from FTD

At the end of April FTD will release Welcome Home Elvis, a 260 page book covering the weeks in 1960 where Elvis regained control over his career. The format is the same as the well-known FTD book format (King Creole : The Music and A Moment In Time). The book includes: More than 300 photos, many of them previously unpublished, text by David English and a CD with the original mono master for 'Elvis Is Back!'.

48 Hours To Memphis CD is derived from what must have been a full professional 16-track multi track recording, the sound is absolutely great, and Elvis is in top form. Ernst Jørgensen while talking in Memphis about the progress his long-awaited Sun Book/CD set noted that it could be 'technically finished' by the end of 2011. The plan now is to have it out in April 2012. FTD Sun Project Update

An update on the much anticipated Sun Book and CD set - Ernst Jorgensen says it is 'still quite a bit away'. With the Sun book Ernst says 'there are still a lot of corrections to be made'. As everyone knows this has been a project he has been working on for several years and it is obviously extra special to him and getting everything right is important. Also at this time the 'Young Man With The Big Beat' is Sonys priority and it would not be ideal to put two fairly pricey sets up competing with each other at the same time. Plus they have the other two book projects mentioned above, 'Fashion For A King; and 'Spring of '56' at this time.

FTD have now released the deluxe edition of ELVIS – now affectionately known as the FOOL album.
ELVIS is a 2-CD set in the Classic Album series. Originally released in 1973, the track listing was changed substantially before its commercial release. Here for the first time, ALL the proposed recordings are included for the first time. In addition, it features great unreleased outtakes. The 7" inch digi-pack format features a 12-page booklet with great photographs and wonderful unseen memorabilia.

FTD have now released the soundboard concert, Elvis As Recorded At Boston Garden '71. The CD features the highly regarded concert that Elvis performed on November 10, 1971. Still at the height of his power, Elvis received critical acclaim for this show and now this official release finally makes it available for fans around the world. With so few live recordings available from this period, this is a key release for anyone's collection. Elvis As Recorded At Boston Garden '71 is released in a 5" digipack format with an 8-page booklet. The cover is very special, designed in the same fashion as the Madison Square Garden cover.

Elvis Fool FTD Special Edition 2 CD Set + Boston Garden Soundboard CD

FTD will release the soundboard of the November 10, 1971 Boston Garden Show (no official title, 5" CD, Sep 14 2010) as this is the only available show from the early tours of the seventies. We believe that this is of such historical importance, that it should be available to everyone. This will be a 5" digipack with a photo booklet. On the same date, FTD will also release a 2-CD set of Elvis: Fool (2CD 7" CD, Sep 14 2010) in the Classic Album series. This will feature a 7" digi-pack with an 8-page booklet. Both are due out September 14.
