FTD (Follow That Dream), Sony BMG's Official Elvis Presley Collectors label was estabished in 1999 to serve the dedicated Elvis collector and to complement the commercial and artistic level of RCA's retail release schedule by issuing repertoire that is considered of interest to serious Elvis fans and collectors, material that is generally not part of mainstream RCA label releases to the public at large.

There are the original Collectors CD's with CDs ranging from soundboard recorded concerts (Recorded from the mixing desk in mono) to full RCA professionally recorded concerts in stereo and some great alternate take CDs - Such as The Jungle Room Sessions and Memphis Sessions etc, later FTD introduced the Elvis Classic Album Series where they release the original Elvis albums in deluxe 7" size packaging with a booklet and a usually a second CD of out takes from the same period as the recordings on the album. There is also the Movie Soundtrack Series usually released as a single CD but again in deluxe 7" packaging with booklet.

Released : Back In Memphis and 3000 South Paradise Road FTD CDs

The Follow That Dream Official Collectors label has released the CDs, Back In Memphis and 3000 South Paradise Road. '3000 South Paradise Road' a 2 disc 7"16-pages booklet that takes a close look at Elvis' engagement at the Las Vegas Hilton in August of 1972. The main disc is from the dinner show on August 12, and the second disc is culled from the rehearsals on August 4th, the date of the opening of the engagement. The other title is 'Back in Memphis', in the Classic Album series which dives into the 1969 sessions in Memphis featuring Suspicious Minds as a bonus track. The 'GI Blues' vinyl will follow later this month.

FTD have released the three new titles Elvis : Hits Of The 70s and From Elvis Presley Boulevard in the FTD 2 CD Classic Album Series and Elvis Country : Special Limited Edition 2-disc Vinyl Set. The newly expanded edition of Hits Of The 70s offers a superb overview of Elvis' greatest songs in the '70s. While the album doesn't feature any outtakes, it does have a substantially expanded track-listing that now features 24 A & B sides and bonus track My Way. The 12-page booklet features both UK and US sleeves, release/chart information and historic overview. From Elvis Presley Boulevard was originally released in 1976 and contained 10 tracks recorded at Elvis' home Graceland. Released : From Hawaii To Las Vegas Soundboard Rehearsal FTD CD

FTD have released 'From Hawaii To Las Vegas'. The CD is in the 5" digi pack series. The rehearsal was recorded from the soundboard at Elvis' January 25, 1973 Las Vegas dress rehearsal for his January/February season at The Las Vegas Hilton. The rough audio is more than compensated by the fascinating insight into how Elvis worked in order to create his shows. With little talk and a lot of music we are invited to a first row presentation of what he had in mind and yet he decided to change the repertoire the very next day. Among the many songs is 'Separate Ways', rehearsed with and without the orchestra, a song that Elvis chose to never perform in public. So an interesting CD release and one to look forward too.

Another Saturday Night FTD 5" Soundboard Concert CD

FTD will release Another Saturday Night in their 5" Soundboard Concert CD series at the end of April. If one place is to be picked as the most important in the career of Elvis Presley, it is without doubt Shreveport in the northwest part of Louisiana. The exposure that Elvis got through the radio broadcast of The Louisiana Hayride in 1954-56 was one of the key factors of establishing the early part of his career. With the exception of Las Vegas, there is no place where Elvis played more shows, and his return to the city in 1975 was like a homecoming to both Elvis and the many fans he had there since he started out. FTD have chosen to release the soundboard from the evening show of June 7, definitely a show that Elvis and the audience truly enjoy, and with a great set list featuring old and new favourites. 5" digipack with an eight-page booklet.

Four new FTD Releases : November 29 : Promised Land : The Wonderful World Of Christmas

On November 29, FTD will release 4 new titles. Two are CDs in the 7" digipack 2 CD Classic albums series: Elvis Sings The Wonderful World Of Christmas & the much anticipated Promised Land. Plus as Elvis Australia first announced in August, FTD will also release a new book, A Moment In Time : 4 Days in ‘56, this one is something special, a most stunning glimpse of Elvis' life in 1956. And finally a new addition to the successful series of Elvis albums on vinyl, this time the The Elvis Is Back Sessions double LP.

A Moment In Time : 4 Days In ‘56 Elvis presley Book from FTD

FTD have a new book release, A Moment In Time : 4 Days in ‘56, due out on November 29. Tthis time with no audio component, as the relevant music is available on Sony's 'Young Man With The Big Beat'. Author and producer Michael Rose has assembled a most stunning glimpse of Elvis' life in 1956. Through literally hundreds of photos : many previously unpublished : we get to join Elvis at his show in Detroit on May 25. We stay with the tour for two more days in Columbus and Dayton and finally arrive in Memphis on May 28.

48 Hours To Memphis Sounboard Concert CD

48 Hours To Memphis CD is derived from what must have been a full professional 16-track multi track recording, the sound is absolutely great, and Elvis is in top form. The booklet is full of great pictures from the actual show and informative notes. The CD comes in a 7" digi format with a 16 page booklet. Contrary to previous informal information given, please be advised that this is a mono release. This concert was recorded 2 days before Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis. This CD will be released by FTD mid October.
