Lisa Marie Presley (2004).
As the only child of Elvis Aaron Presley, rock & roll's first and most celebrated rock star, and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley would have to work extremely hard to establish her own individuality, far far away from her famous Father. It would be a rough road, but Lisa Marie had the spark and rawness to do it and to do it on her own terms. Born to Elvis and Priscilla Presley on February 1, 1968, Elvis' only daughter spent the first four years of her life at Graceland where she was the apple of her father's eye.

Elvis Presley Video Lisa Marie and Elvis Presley Video Duet : I Love You Because

We now have for you to watch the emotional duet featuring Lisa Marie Presley and Elvis singing 'I Love You Because'. The audio 'single' is now available to purchase from iTunes and the video will be available beginning October 25, 2012. However only via the US website and those outside the US probably can't purchase at this time. The video itself is a masterpiece that I must say brought tears to my eyes. You will see Lisa Marie in the Sun studio recording the song and home film of Elvis' grandchildren, Lisa and Priscilla. Lisa Marie performs a wonderful duet with her late father and does not 'take over' the song - with the first 1 minute 33 seconds with only Elvis' vocals before Lisa joins in for the remaining 1 minute 22 seconds.

Lisa Marie Presley Biography

As the only child of Elvis Aaron Presley, rock & roll's first and most celebrated rock star, and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley would have to work extremely hard to establish her own individuality, far far away from her famous Father. It would be a rough road, but Lisa Marie had the spark and rawness to do it and to do it on her own terms. Born to Elvis and Priscilla Presley on February 1, 1968, Elvis' only daughter spent the first four years of her life at Graceland where she was the apple of her father's eye.

When her parents split in 1972, Lisa Marie left Memphis with her mother for the suburbs of Los Angeles, but would regularly visit Elvis in Memphis. Music was undoubtedly a big part of her life; Elton John, David Cassidy and some of Elvis' softer songs were her favorites. Having music around allowed Lisa Marie an escape.

The tension between two households and the geographic distance apart was emotionally taxing for a young girl; such stress came to head August 16, 1977 when her father died. Lisa Marie was nine-years-old.

The decade that followed showed an aggressive young lady that lacked direction and discipline. Lisa Marie meddled in drugs during her teenage years while listening to Devo and The Sex Pistols. At age 18, she left drugs behind and began following Scientology. During this time, Lisa Marie began writing songs, but the process proved nerve-racking. Lisa Marie was aware of the pressures of being Elvis Presley's daughter, so she didn't exactly pursue songwriting that seriously. She had something else in mind; she married her longtime boyfriend, Danny Keough, in 1988. The six-year marriage produced two children, Danielle and Ben.

Motherhood grounded her, but not entirely -- Lisa Marie was a rebel at heart and the tabloids loved it.

In 1994, rumors circulated that she and Michael Jackson had tied the knot in the Dominican Republic. The union was initially denied in May, but the world couldn't believe their eyes when Lisa Marie and the King of Pop appeared on the annual MTV Music Awards four months later. The two locked lips to the crowd's surprise and those watching at home were equally a gasp. Was it a gimmick or real love? Between television appearances and media scrutiny, Lisa Marie had had enough of Michael Jackson and divorced him 1997.

She was mentally and physically exhausted. Music soothed her once more and a chance meeting with producer Glen Ballard motivated Lisa Marie to give the music thing another try. Ballard was impressed with her dark, luckless melodies and inked her a deal with Capitol. Her debut album was slated for a 2000 release, but Ballard didn't stick around to the final product. The next year, Lisa Marie starting dating actor Nicolas Cage; the couple married in summer 2002 despite it being a tumultuous relationship from the start. Sadly, Cage and Lisa Marie's wedded bliss fell short three months later when the pair split for good. Lisa Marie might have been down, but she wasn't out. Lisa Marie Presley bravely made her musical debut in spring 2003 with the release of 'To Whom It May Concern'. Deeply personal, edgy and furious, 'To Whom It May Concern' showed a side of Lisa Marie that was both smart and brash. She wasn't interested in living up to her Father's legacy in the eyes of others because she was comfortable with her own. 'To Whom It May Concern' sold 140,000 copies during its first week of release in April. It was also one of the year's highest debuts with its #5 position on Billboard.

When Elvis married Priscilla the dreams of millions of young girls faded away. The King of Rock-N-Roll had his Queen. On February 1, 1968 they got their Princess - Lisa Marie Presley was born.

The little girl was doted on by her famous dad. He dressed her in fur coats and gave her jewels. He got her a golf cart so she could ride around Graceland. He even named his airplane - The Lisa Marie - after her.

On a whim he flew her to Colorado so she could play in the snow. Spoiled? Yes.

Lisa Marie has been in and out of recording studios over the years. She has written many of her own songs. She has actually had several albums go platinum which is a surprise to a lot of people.

If you listen to her and expect to hear her father's voice you will be disappointed.

She was a very busy girl when it came to men and marriages.

At age twenty she married her musician boyfriend Danny Keough. They dated for three years prior to their wedding. They had two children together, Danielle Riley and Benjamin Storm

In April 1994, Presley announced that she and Keough were separating, but would remain on good terms for their children's sake. Later that month, she flew to the Dominican Republic for a quick divorce. In the years since their divorce, Presley and Keough have remained friends and even written some songs together. Keough lives on the same property as Lisa Marie in the guest house. Twenty days after her divorce from Keough, Presley married Michael Jackson. They had first met when 7-year-old Presley attended several of his shows in Las Vegas. When they met again as adults, 'things moved very quickly', with Jackson proposing over the telephone after four months. They stayed in contact every day over the telephone. As child molestation accusations became public, Jackson became dependent on Lisa Marie for emotional support; she was concerned about his faltering health and his addiction to drugs. Lisa Marie believed he didn't do anything wrong, that he was wrongly accused. That was when she started falling for him.

She told people she wanted to save him. Shortly after, she tried to persuade Jackson to settle the allegations out of court and go into rehabilitation to recover, which he subsequently did. In 1995, she appeared in nothing but a towel around her waist in the music video for his song 'You Are Not Alone'. In the video they kissed and hugged, it was one of the few instances where their affection for one another was seen in public view. She said the marriage was 'a married couple's life ...that was sexually active'.

She filed for divorce in January 1996, but the couple remains friendly. In 2005, Presley was considered as a witness for Jackson's trial after he had been charged with child molestation. They took Presley out of context reporting that she had said 'I saw things I couldn't do anything about'. Presley then released a statement saying that she never saw her then-husband engage in improper behavior with children.

Presley was engaged in 2000 to rocker John Oszaica but broke it off after meeting Nicolas Cage at a party.

Presley's relationship with Cage was on-again/off-again from the beginning. They were married on August 10, 2002, in an outdoor wedding in Hawaii just 10 days after he proposed. An avid Elvis fan, Cage is the only person outside the Presley family to have been allowed to see Elvis' bedroom at Graceland.

Cage filed for divorce after 108 days of marriage; just two days after the couple appeared looking happy together at the premiere of Adaptation. The divorce proceeding was actually longer than the marriage.

Presley married for a fourth time on January 22, 2006, to Michael Lockwood, her guitarist, music producer, director. Keough served as best man at the couple's wedding which was held in Japan. Priscilla Presley walked her down the aisle in front of 16 guests. In March 2008, Presley announced that she was pregnant, following speculation over her apparent weight gain. On October 7, 2008, at age 40, Lisa Marie gave birth to fraternal twin girls via Cesarean. They weighed in at about 5 pounds each. Their names are Harper and Finley Lockwood. A photo released by People Magazine of the new mom holding her 3 month old twins girls shows a more mature looking Lisa Marie. She looks more and more like her mother, but she certainly has the Elvis lip!!!

Upon Lisa's twenty-fifth birthday she chose to form The Elvis Presley Trust and she continues the management of the estate. Her mother and the National Bank of Commerce continue to serve as co-trustees.

In 1998, Lisa became more closely involved with the management team of The Elvis Presley Trust and its business entity, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE). She was owner and Chairman of the Board until February 2005, when she sold 85 percent of the estate's business holdings.

That sale did not include Graceland itself or the property within it.

If you are an Elvis fan and you get the opportunity to visit Graceland – go, you will not be disappointed. I was there a few years ago and it was the most unbelievable day. It was a few days after his birthday and the entire place was filled with flowers. Everyone stood totally still and didn't speak, they just looked at the grave marker and you could see tears streaming down every face. It had always been my dream to visit Graceland and it really touched me. If Elvis was alive he would be spoiling those two brand new grandkids and enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully we have heard the last of Lisa Marie's marriage/divorce roller-coaster.

Maybe she has finally found happiness, I hope so.
