Bruce Springsteen performed two Elvis Presley songs, 'Jailhouse Rock' for a sign request early in the show and then 'Follow That Dream'*, to begin the encores in Belgium, on Saturday July 13, 2013. And we have broadcast high definition quality film of both songs exclusively for you. An audience of around 60,000 clapped and sang-a-long as the Boss performed. Springsteen is known to cover songs from sign requests in the audience and only two weeks ago he performed 'Burning Love' in Paris, France.

It was only the second time Bruce has played 'Jailhouse Rock' at an E Street Band show. The other time was October 2, 2009 at Giants Stadium. 'Follow that Dream' was played for the second time this tour (April 29, 2013 in Olso, Norway) and for only the fourth time since 2000. There is also an unofficially released studio version recorded at the 'Born In The U.S.A Sessions in 1983. All of Bruce's versions are actually quite different to Elvis'.

Bruce Springsteen : Follow That Dream : Werchter, Belgium : July 13, 2013 (04:17)

Bruce Springsteen performs his version of Elvis Presley's 'Follow That Dream' : Werchter, Belgium Saturday, July 13, 2013. 'Follow that Dream' was played for the second time this tour (April 29, 2013 in Olso, Norway) and for only the fourth time since 2000. There is also an officially unreleased studio version. Springsteen also performed 'Jailhouse Rock' at this concert, it was only the second time Bruce has played 'Jailhouse Rock' at an E Street Band show. The other time was October 2, 2009 at Giants Stadium.

*In 1983 Bruce Springsteen reworked and recorded this song, rewriting it based on the original theme, the song, - Elvis' song - as if he had written it first, he took the Elvis song, the 'soul' of it and made his own version.

He introduces it in concert as his version of his favorite Elvis song, and so it is quite different from Elvis' but a good version none the less and a fine tribute in that he would go to so much trouble to do it.

Ben Weisman: 'Follow That Dream' was one of my favorite songs because of its upbeat message. It seems Bruce Springsteen, who is a big Elvis fan, agrees with me, because it is also one of his favorite Elvis songs'.
