Wild In The Country FTD CD
The latest CD in the FTD classic albums series, Wild In The Country, has been released with Husky Dusky Day with Hope Lange added. FTD had planned to have this at the end of the disc as a ghost track - but found out that they couldn't do so for legal reasons. As usual it is in the 7" digipack format, with a booklet. All tracks have been remixed and remastered for this release and sound truly beautiful.

Bill Black's main stand-up bass is today owned by ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, who received the instrument as a birthday present from his late wife Linda McCartney in the late 1970s. Update : Elvis' Christmas Album 9,000,000 Sales
The version of the album that has sold 9,000,000 is the RCA Camden reissue from 1970, also titled Elvis' Christmas Album, which features the eight Christmas-oriented tracks from the original album plus two additional, later recordings. Included in that figure is the Pickwick reissue from 1976, which sold tons in the States in the years following Elvis' death. The original 1957 album LOC-1035, is certified for Triple Platinum (3,000,000 units) by the RIAA. Those sales were achieved between 1957 and 1969.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
