With the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death Aug. 16, I thought I'd take a little walk down memory lane when I visited the king one night in Las Vegas and taught Priscilla martial arts in Southern California.
Thirty years after Elvis Presley's death, an ABC two-hour TV event (USA) in High Definition will examine how the King of Rock-and-Roll reinvented Las Vegas -- and how it reinvented him. The special, produced in cooperation with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., will incorporate rarely seen footage of Elvis performing in Las Vegas, revealing interviews with those closest to him, and special performances from some of today's top recording stars singing Elvis' Vegas classics.
Adios Huntsville is another quality production, containing an unreleased show from this period. Although the show is inevitably very similar to others from this tour, both the clear sound and attractive artwork ensure this is a worthwhile purchase for all those who appreciate hearing Elvis in the upbeat mood that characterised these shows.
Elvis On Tour '75 is a book for fans prepared by a fan. It outshines many of the more commercially produced efforts in both quality of printing and binding as in photographic content. It is large-format book and the photos are all excellently reproduced and beautifully printed on high quality paper. The sequences of photos provide an idea of the dynamic nature of Elvis' show. Believe me, Elvis Presley 1970's concert fans will not wish to miss out on 'Elvis On Tour '75'.

Review of
Elvis Presley - Paternity Suit. Mr. Glass's research is well documented and presented in a sequential order. This sequential order definitely for me pointed out the strategy used by Mr. Paul Caruso the lawyer for Ms. Parker, to literally push Elvis to the point of settling out of court just to save his sanity.
Elvis Presley - Paternity Suit - The whole case lasted for more than 6 years in Elvis' life and was not such a small thing as most people thought. This set reveals information which was totally ignored until now.

I believe that what makes Elvis the King is the ability of his music to effectively transcend permeability among fans from different ages and nationalities ... I come from an Arab family that has its own taste in music, both Middle Eastern and Western: We never agree on what constitutes good music, except for Elvis songs.

She's the daughter of music's biggest icon, a singer-songwriter in her own right, a mother of two and the head of one of the world's biggest tourist attractions.
Lisa Marie Presley is also very outspoken. On the week of the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death -- which she commemorated by filming a duet of 'In the Ghetto' -- she shared with Spinner her candid opinions on the commercialization of his music, her distaste for young Hollywood and why she doesn't need fans to remind her how wonderful her dad was.

Sometimes, the simplest questions are the hardest to answer. Laura Viddy, interviewing me for a forthcoming TV special, asked one two word question which floored me: 'Why Elvis?' I came up with ten reasons.
THERE'S a saying in the Elvis world which goes: If you're an Elvis fan, no explanation is necessary. If you're not, no explanation is possible. How do I know this? I am an Elvis fan. There was a time when people like me felt trepidation about admitting such a thing. After all, Elvis and his fans had been the subject of scorn for so many years, that we sometimes felt ostracised by others who were into 'cooler' music.
Elvis Presley is arguably the most photographed star in the history of rock 'n' roll, and esteemed music photo archivist Michael Ochs possesses one of the largest stores of

Here is an interesting article by Elvis fan Silvia Kwon published by The Age. It was 1978 and we had been in Australia for a year. Arriving from South Korea with only a few suitcases and no English, it had been a tumultuous 12 months. I remember sitting glued to the TV set in an apartment in Perth, watching a guy in a flamboyant white suit with a lei around his neck, his dark quiff dominating the screen.
