Janelle McComb Passed Away
Janelle McComb died on July 25 in Tupelo due to a congestive heart failure. Janelle was a friend of the Presley family since Elvis was four years old and remained close to Priscilla and Lisa Marie. Janelle was 84 years old.

Sony BMG Vinyl Classics CDs - Elvis NBC TV Special
There is a new range of CD's to be released by Sony BMG in
Germany called Vinyl Classics. Like the name suggests the CD's
are made to look like vinyl records and the packaging is like a
vinyl gatefold sleave. The series will include Elvis Presley's Elvis' NBC TV
Special, Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, and Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues
among many titles. The series will be released in Australia in September.

Sony/BMG have delayed the release of the 'Elvis by the Presleys' CD in Australia until June 12, the same day as the DVD is to be released. This double CD set will consist of one primary 24-track disc with material ranging from the expected ('Heartbreak Hotel', 'In the Ghetto') to less-famous ('I'll Hold You in My Heart', 'Got a Lot O' Livin' to Do!') and a second bonus disc which features eight rarities, some of which were outlined by co-producer Ernst Jorgensen.

Due for release in May is 'Elvis N.Y. '72', a collection of never before seen photos from the press conference that Elvis held before his concerts in Madison Square Garden in June 1972. This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
