In no way is 'The Elvis Archives' the special book suggested by the hype. It is a standard illustrated fan book, of which there are already more than enough, nothing more. In that respect it is acceptable.
Scotland's Daily Record Newspaper did an artivle with the title "Which One is
King? The Answer is Patently Obvious!" The article, in relation to copyrighting
names and titles, mentions an apparent dispute between Graceland and The King of
Greece, over the title "The King
Besides the music if there is one area of Elvis' career that fascinates me it is the question of how many records he has sold. This is a vexed subject with many fans and to question the holy grail of one billion sales is to open yourself up to accusations of blasphemy. I sincerely want to believe that the figure (600 million US Sales) touted by BMG & the Estate is accurate.

The two years that Elvis Presley spent in Germany as the most famous GI in history are the subject of a new exhibition opening in Germany on Sunday.
A new Elvis Presley jewelry and accessories line has been released by
Silver Moon Concepts, LLC. This new line includes men's and women's rings, belt
buckles, pendants, necklaces, key chains, earrings, bracelets, money clips, body
jewelry and leather products.
All of Elvis' 18 UK #1 singles will be re-released over 17 consecutive weeks beginning on January 3rd '05 and ending on April 25th '05. 20,000 numbered CDs and 7,500 numbered 10" vinyl will be produced.
We have received the track listing for the upcoming Follow That Dream release "On Tour - The Rehearsals". This CD features recordings done at RCA's studios in Hollywood in March 1972, which were conducted in association with that year's MGM concert film Elvis on Tour.

Elvis Presley was inducted into the UK Music Hall Of Fame last night as a
founding member. (Because of his huge impact on the British music scene.)
Priscilla Presley accepted the honour in person on behalf of Elvis.

At approximately 5:45 PM on Friday, November 26th, in a ceremony in Graceland Plaza, EPE officials and the Jennings Osborne family will "throw the switch" on Elvis Presley's wonderful traditional Graceland Mansion front-lawn holiday displays and an Osborne-donated lighting display in Graceland Plaza across the street.
Graceland have decided to build display cases for Elvis' jumpsuits in the racquetball building. This desicion comes after many letters to Graceland from fans who have been concerned that Elvis' jumpsuits would get damaged.

The 5 CD box set 'Elvis - The King Of Rock 'N' Roll' (PD90689) was re-released in Europe on November 1st. 'Elvis Forever' and a special Edition of 'Christmas Peace' will be released on November 22, 2004. On January 17, 2005, BMG will re-release 'Elvis', 'Elvis Presley' and 'Loving You'.
All Shook Up is set to be among several Broadway musicals featured in the 78th
Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which will be broadcast on NBC-TV. Cast
members will perform Burning Love.
Kris Kristofferson will be entered into the Country Music Hall Of Fame on November 9th. Elvis recorded his songs "For The Good Times", "Help Me make It Through The Night" and "Why Me Lord".

The Bilko label plans to release a compilation from some of their best CDs

The Memphis '69 Band will tour Europe next year. The show will open in Randers, Denmark on April 2 and then go on to play six more shows around Denmark, then go north and play Uddevalla and Stockholm, Sweden on April 10 and 11 to end in Norway a few days later. The tour is produced by Elvis Unlimited.
Lisa Marie Presley can't bear to spend time at her late dad Elvis' Graceland grave - because there's a space reserved for her right next to him. The 36-year-old fears she'll follow her father and grandmother, Gladys, and die in her 40s, and then spend eternity lying beneath the grounds of the estate her father called home.

The Overton Park Shell played host to its last concert until some necessary
repairs could be made. An engineering study found that the shell will need about
550 thousand dollars worth of improvements.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
