Random House will publish the book, Elvis By the Presleys in Australia on May 2, 2005. Along with interviews with Priscilla and Lisa Marie, taken from the CBS special, the book will include a lavish collection of personal photos, memorabilia, handwritten notes, selections from scrapbooks and previously unseen shots of Graceland from the Elvis archives.

A beautiful, lavishly designed book full of personal photos, memorabilia, and never-before-seen shots of Graceland's rooms, Elvis by the Presleys will mark the first time Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley have teamed up to talk about Elvis. Their poignant, firsthand memories center around important themes and events in Elvis' life, such as his rise to fame, his courtship of teenaged Priscilla, his life as a devoted father, his desire to be a serious actor, his generosity, his style, his dark side, his eccentricities, and the decline in health leading to his death.

The photos will include home movie stills and never-before-seen treasures from Graceland's huge archive. Spreads of Elvis' onstage outfits and strange collections will provide insight into his flamboyant lifestyle, and photos of Elvis memorabilia, such as his guns, Christmas cards, and handwritten notes, will provide an intimate look into his day-to-day life.

Timed to the special, SONY BMG Strategic Marketing Group will release a two CD soundtrack collection in May. The soundtrack will include tracks from the special, Elvis' favorites and family picks by Priscilla and Lisa Marie as well as rare, previously unreleased cuts and outtakes.

Also on CBS in May is ELVIS, the previously announced new four-hour mini-series starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the title role which will be broadcast Sunday, May 8 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and Wednesday, May 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). The fact-based drama, about the life of Elvis Presley, is being produced with the full cooperation and participation of the Elvis Presley Estate. His electrifying yet tumultuous story - from his humble beginnings to his meteoric rise to fame - will be told and Presley's master recordings will be heard in a biographical film for the first time.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
