Update on Elvis Sessions IV Book by Joseph Tunzi
Despite rumors to the contrary, the fourth volume of Joseph Tunzi's informative Elvis 'Sessions' series is still being published, and hopefully it will be this year. Daryl R. (who is helping Joe Tunzi with the release) posted this message: Recently, I received an email questioning whether Elvis Sessions IV by JAT Productions has been cancelled, abandoned, delayed, whatever you want to call it. The answer is a resounding no, the book has not been cancelled or abandoned. We have too much time, effort and financial resources tied up into the book for it to simply be cancelled or abandoned.

Following the release of the 'Elvis Portraits' book Erik Lorenzen has announced the release of the book trilogy 'Elvis On Tour 1972-2022' celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1972 concert movie. Erik Lorentzen - in collaboration with Jerry Luckenbach (Elvis Summer Festival That's The Way It Is Volumes 1-5) has been able to get his bands on hundreds of unseen and unpublished photos from the 1972 April, June and November tours. And according to the press release, 1,000 photographs are previously unreleased. The books, due summer 2021, come housed in a slipcase and will contain 1,200 pages with photos, paperwork, recording information (live / studio / masters / dubs and overdubs) and memorabilia covering the concert-tours from April, June and November 1972.

FTD will now release the limited edition version of Bruce Jackson's 'On the Road with Elvis' In November. The book now includes 3 CDs featuring audio commentary by Jack Mullins and two soundboards: Sioux Falls, October 18 1976 and Atlanta, December 30, 1976, will be available as a Follow That Dream (FTD) release in September. Bruce was Elvis' sound engineer at the concerts from 1971 to 1977. The book was previously released on its own by Gary Jackson in 2018. This new release is now sold out and there will be no reprint.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
