Elvis Presley: The Searcher (The Original Soundtrack) April 6 from Sony Music
Sony Music will release Elvis Presley: The Searcher (The Original Soundtrack) on April 6 in three versions, a single CD, a Deluxe 3 CD set in 8"x 8" with a 40-page book in slipcase and a 2 LP Record set. The new multi-part documentary Elvis Presley: The Searcher, directed by Thom Zimny and airing on HBO on April 14, pushes past the larger-than-life image of The King of Rock and Roll, portraying him instead as a man and an artist 'who wanted to heal, to find that thing that was always felt to be missing, and to do it through the music'.
Elvis: Murfreesboro '74 FTD Soundboard CD Set
FTD is pleased to announce the release of 'Elvis: Murfreesboro '74'. Released as a 5" digipack, this 2-CD set features Elvis in great form from two shows on March 14th and 19th at the Murfreesboro Middle State Tennessee University. Behind Closed Doors has always been a fan favorite, the beautiful lp box set issued by the AUDIFÖN label in 1979 was a groundbreaking release. Most material was unreleased and the quality was pretty good. Now for the first time this legendary LP boxset is re-released in this beautiful 10 inch sized boxset. 2 CD's, 10 INCH and a 45 RPM record.
Spliced Takes GI Blues CD
Spliced Takes GI Blues CD, the first 2018 CMT release will blow you away, with lots of surprises, including rare studio material and new edits. The title track for example has been recreated out of five (!) takes and sounds exciting and fresh, 'Wooden Heart' has a new opening, and 'Frankfort Special' has some funny studio snippets at the end. 'Big Boots' was build up out of three versions (slow, medium and fast) and even 'Blue Suede Shoes' sound different than before, although there was only one take to work with.

The Rock N Roll Majesty import-label announced the release of the 4 CD longbow 'Big Boss Man In Vegas', a limited edition of 350 numbered sets. Like their previous outings this box contains previously released material; two 1974 concerts (on four discs).

The Future of the Follow That Dream (FTD) Collectors Label
While many have speculated that the Follow That Dream (FTD) Collectors Label might close after 20 years in 2019, Ernst Jorgensen has strongly denied this stating that FTD has plans to continue for the foreseeable future. FTD was started in 1999 with its first release containing material from the second dressing room rehearsal for the '68 Comeback Special. The biggest selling title though is The Jungle Room Sessions.

Amiga International will release, Elvis On Tour: 45th Anniversary Edition CD | Book boxset, a long awaited LIMITED-EDITION boxset featuring 9-CD's, all remastered, of all known recordings made for the Golden Globe Award-winning concert documentary ELVIS ON TOUR. This will include the premiere of the complete rehearsal recorded in Buffalo, NY on April 5, 1972, with three previously unreleased performances. Amiga International releases a long awaited LIMITED-EDITION boxset featuring 9-CD's, all remastered, of all known recordings made for the Golden Globe Award-winning concert documentary ELVIS ON TOUR. This will include the premiere of the complete rehearsal recorded in Buffalo, NY on April 5, 1972, with three previously unreleased performances. The 13-inch boxset also includes a huge 128-page hardcover book containing detailed essays of the entire April 1972 tour with RARE AND UNPUBLISHED photographs and related memorabilia. When considering the lack of attention paid to this concert documentary, it seems a shame that so few official releases have emerged. It is for this reason that AMIGA International presents this deluxe package to honor the excellent recordings made for the much neglected 'Elvis On Tour' film.

The 'Elvis Pure & Simple' CD is Elvis without backing vocals & overdubs, the pure sound of Elvis Presley. Original masters but also some alternate versions were used for this release. In most of the studio sessions the backing musicians were there with Elvis and Elvis was singing along with them – yet here these vocals are faded out if they were present. Includes a 12 page booklet with photos and recording information.

Follow That Dream (FTD) Update
There has been a delay with the latest FTD CD releases 'Kissin' Cousins', 'Bicentennial Show' and the 'Roustabout' double LP, however, they will be on their way to us shortly. Also delayed and now for release in 2018 are the two recently deleted titles 'Elvis In Atlanta' and 'Elvis Las Vegas '74'.
FTD re-print 'Elvis In Atlanta' and 'Elvis Las Vegas '74' now 2018
Follow That Dream (FTD) have announced that the reprint of the recently deleted titles 'Elvis In Atlanta' (containing two legendary shows from the Omni Coliseum in 1975 on April 30th and May 1), and 'Elvis Las Vegas '74' (containing two Legendary Shows From The Hilton Hotel On August 20, 1974) has been delayed until 2018. They will now be with the first releases of 2018.
Elvis: 'The Alternate Today' | 45RPM Single | 10 Inch | CD Boxset
After the success of 'The Alternate Moody Blue' Hepcat records releases 'The Alternate Today', Elvis' last real studio sessions took place on March 10-13, 1975 and resulted in the Today album. Nearby 43 years later Hepcat records releases 'The Alternate Today'. This deluxe 10-inch boxset contains a 10-inch vinyl record, a 45 RPM single and a fully packed CD. The 45 RPM features the unique combination 'Fairytale' & 'Susan When She Tried'. A companion double vinyl album will be released in 2018 for the album lovers.
Elvis: 'Rock 'N' On' Volume 1 and Volume 2 CDs
Housed in a stunning slipcase are two Australian albums, 'Rock 'N' On' Volume 1 and Volume 2. In the late 1980's these albums were released on CD, but the sound quality was not great, and they did not have the original artwork. These CD's are very hard to find now. Now, for the very first time, both Volume 1 and Volume 2 are released in a6-panel digipack with the original artwork from the original vinyl releases! And.....each Volume contains lots of hard to find outtakes and alternate versions! A superb collection for every Elvis fan.

It features unreleased outtakes, rarities and an informative illustrated 16-page booklet with rare memorabilia, movie trivia and photos. Due to the small amount of existing outtakes (as Elvis didn't record with the band) it includes instrumental masters recorded at the RCA Studio in Nashville that show the great musicianship of the players.

Follow That Dream (FTD) is pleased to announce the release of the legendary 'Bicentennial Show' recorded live via soundboard at Mabee Center, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma July 4, 1976 at 2:30 PM. Disc 2 contains a concert recorded live at Duluth Arena, Duluth, Minnesota October 16, 1976 (With extra tracks from Dane County Coliseum, October 19, 1976). This a 2-CD 5" digipack release.

Elvis: Night & Day in Nashville is a new CD release in the 'Bootleg Series' and a sampler of material recorded by The King in Nashville from '56 to '66. A total of 22 tracks, including 20 alternate recordings and original mixes (15 previously unreleased by Elvis' record company). It's a great new album, with (almost) only complete takes, and this time no studio banter or false starts (as they are available through other releases from the Elvis One label).
