Elvis Presley and Colonel Tom Parker : New Years Eve, December 31, 1975
This may very well be the last picture of Elvis and Colonel Parker together, taken on New Year's Eve 1975, 35 years ago, shortly before Elvis went on stage for his first new Years Eve concert since 1955.
This show would become the highest attended Elvis concert EVER! Grossing over $800,000
[In 1955, December 31st fell on a Saturday, and so that night Elvis worked his regular gig on the Louisiana Hayride, broadcast out of Shreveport, Louisiana.]
After the show Elvis flew back to Memphis with his entourage, which incuded Vernon, countrty singer T.G. Sheppard and his wife, Lisa Marie, and Linda Thompson to celebrate the new Year in his bedroom, watching tapes of old Monty Python shows. Elvis would make his third and final New Years Eve concert the following year.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
