Investors may soon grab share of Elvis
Sillerman unveiled a two-part business deal yesterday that will give investors an opportunity to gamble on his ability to find new markets for all things Elvis. It's predicated on the belief that the world is "under-Elvised," as he puts it.
"Even in the U.S., the only way to get in contact with the Elvis experience is at Graceland," The King's estate in Memphis which attracted 650,000 visitors last year, he says.
He agreed to pay $100 million for an 85 percent interest in most of Elvis' assets. Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, will control the rest.
Sillerman plans to fold his Presley holdings into Sports Entertainment Enterprises, a publicly traded company.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
