His Latest Flame #3 on UK Singles Chart
'Elvis Presley's latest single "(Marie's The Name Of) His Latest Flame" has entered the UK singles chart at #3, giving Elvis his 68th Top 10 Hit in the UK singles chart. #3 is the "lowest" new entry of all single releases so far. Elvis'ingle "Surrender" dropped to #19 from #2.
If as seems utterly certain all remaining re-released number ones hit the top ten in the UK, Elvis will reach 77 top ten singles. Together with 10 top ten EP's and 47 top ten albums this will give Elvis a grand total of 134 - well ahead of anyone else both in each category.
Elvis was the first person to have a record go straight to number one on the UK charts in the first week of release with "Jailhouse Rock" in 1958. And in 2005 with the same record plus "It's Now or Never" he became the first person to have had the same two records twice go straight to number one on separate occasions - thus overtaking John Lennon who did it once with Imagine. Elvis has already achieved the 1000th UK No.1 single.

The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
