Out now on CD is 'Elvis Blue'. Originally released in Australia on the Starcall label in 1983 as a 19-track LP, with a beautiful painted Elvis portrait on the front sleeve, as the title suggest all tracks on this album had the word ‘Blue’ in it. The album was a great success, but it was never released on silver pressed CD. Until now! Housed in sealed cardsleeve, this is a stunning miniature vinyl-look CD release, that also includes some special bonus tracks! A LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 400 COPIES !!!
Out now on CD in beautiful sealed cardsleeves, a great collection of classic Camden / RCA albums. From 1968 to 1975, RCA Camden issued a series of compilation albums. This output primarily consisted of repackaging of Elvis Presley's 1960s-era movie soundtrack recordings. These albums were very successful, due to the low budget price and the great gatefold album sleeves. For many (young) fans these albums were their introduction to the music of Elvis Presley. Although these albums did not always contained the very best of Elvis’ recordings, The Camden albums taught many customers one valuable lesson: you may find gold, when you least expect it 'The Elvis Presley Collection' contained 3 volumes. Looking like miniature vinyl albums, these releases will bring back many of the happy memories from the good ol’ days. A LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 400 COPIES !!!
The U.S. Postal Service will issue the Music Icons: Elvis Presley Commemorative Forever stamp and together with Sony Music's RCA/Legacy Recordings an exclusive music CD titled 'ELVIS FOREVER' that includes an Elvis song, as you've never heard it before. Next up in the Sony Music 'Legacy Edition
' series is a reissue of 'Elvis Today'
. A highlight of this set is the Undubbed 'Original Session mixes' that are almost
worthy of their own release in our opinion. Originally released in 1975. The Today sessions were held in RCA's Studio C, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, March 10–12, 1975, and marked the last time Elvis Presley would record in a studio.
The label Rock Legends will release soon the double CD set 'One Week In August 1972' containing two concerts from August 1972, one being a soundboard recording, the second an audience recording. 'Elvis Something Blue : Love Ballads Of The Sixties' is a really beautiful release with a stunning cover, containing 28 hard to find outtakes of some Elvis' best ballads, recorded in the sixties. Sony Music has a major new CD release, 'If I Can Dream', due out in September. As we understand it the CD will NOT be a 'duets' album, (that has been known to be in consideration for some years, however we have been told this is NOT a 'duets' album), instead it will focus on ELVIS PRESLEY as the 'headline' artist while 'featuring
, many artists including Michael Buble', and remixed with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Priscilla Presley
has spoken of the release with; 'Elvis' voice now sounds unleashed while attacking 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' with the orchestra fuming. He probably would have loved this album, because it stands where it always wanted to be: the best entertainer on the planet'.
For release at the end of July is 'The Sun Sessions
', a compilation of Elvis Presley's recordings at Sun Studios
in 1954 and 1955. The album was origianlly issued by RCA Records in 1976 and featured liner notes by Roy Carr of the New Musical Express. It had been issued and charted as The Sun Collection in the UK the previous year. The album features most of the tracks recorded at Sun studio by Sam Phillips
, the head of Sun Studios. Phillips signed Presley after hearing a song that he had recorded for his mother on his birthday. It includes 'That's All Right' one of the few recordings regarded as 'the first rock and roll record'.

This concert was released nine (9) years ago as a double CD set titled 'The Elvis Presley Show : Holding Down The Fort' and featured part of the opening acts on the first CD. The original tape had some damages and omissions, and therefore the show was made complete while using the same songs performed a month later at the same venue. It was well edited and runs as a complete show. It isn't most popular period for Elvis' concert but the two shows recorded in Fort Worth, TX turned out to be rather good at the time. The sound engineer Bruce Jackson was on a lucky and bad day altogether, but Elvis' mood turned the situation into a good one for his best sounding man on tour.

Elvis was in fine form on this 'Hot August Night' of the 25th of August 1969, a performance perhaps never to be beaten. For those that only read the summery of reviews, I can be quite clear, this concert is without doubt the best live recording released to-date of Elvis Presley in 1969, and is one of the best concerts Elvis Presley ever performed - both in sound quality and performance! Why? I could say, listen to it and you will agree, but I offer you an interesting fact, it was from this concert that RCA chose to use seven of the tracks to make up the original 12 track 'Elvis In Person' album in 1969. This is 58% of the albums tracks. And this is from the good number of concerts recorded of which several have been released on CD by FTD. So crystal clear stereo sound and a great performance.

have released an extended soundtrack of the 'This Is Elvis
' movie, and our order (is well) on the way to us, due to arrive 'any day now
'. What accounted for his undeniable mystique? The answer is contained in a remarkable biography, written on film instead of the printed page - This Is Elvis - a David L. Wolper Production of an Andrew Solt/Malcolm Leo Film for Warner Bros. release. Written, directed and produced by Solt and Leo (best known for their television special Heroes OF Rock and Roll). The film follows innovations first introduced by producer Wolper, whose 650 films include the Emmy-winning Roots and the Oscar winning The Hellstrom Chronicle.
