'), fans asked for more and now CMT is proud to present their latest release, 'Spliced takes - Hollywood Revisited', which promises to be another winner! Again there are lots of excellent edits, and surprises. Unlike other Elvis bootleg
releases with this title the producers truly were able to produce an album using many incomplete takes, to create beautiful new tracks. The professional edits will blow you away and will make you believe these are unreleased takes.

Elvis: The Essential Undubbed Masters 1969-1976 is a brand new deluxe 8 cd set and it is out now.
Recording sessions can be time-consuming. The process of recording a song or album is often very interesting. It's like playing live in the studio, with the difference that if one goofed, they had to do it all over. Small corrections could be made but especially erasing something from the tape was a problem. Later on with the introduction of multitrack recording equipment it became much easier to alter the recordings. Channels could be erased or added and levels could be adjusted for each separate channel. Often a track that ends up on an LP or 45 contains overdubs that were made at a later stage and added to the master take. Also most of The Elvis masters contain such overdubs. This set contains the master takes as they were made in the studio, without those overdubs. It's as close as it gets to the pure sound of Elvis.
Elvis: Until It's Time For You To Go (Songs Of Love And Heartache). This is a wonderful album of some of Elvis' greatest 70's love songs. All tracks are alternate, undubbed versions.
Elvis: Something For Everybody (Alternate Album) CD. Elvis' thirteenth album released in June 1961. This great alternate album contains rare and hard to find outtakes (some not released by Elvis' official record company) of tracks recorded by Elvis between November 8, 1960 and March 12, 1961 in RCA's Studio B in Nashville, Tennesee. An excellent album with cover art done in 'early sixties' style with the best outtakes available. This is the album that could have been!
Elvis Presley & Helene Fischer 'Just Pretend', this is 'live' on television, the studio recording can be found on the number one album 'The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
The 'Spirit Of Jackson, MS
' CD is now released and our order is on the way to us. On May 5th 1975, Elvis performed a concert in aid of the McComb tornado victims at the State Fair Coliseum, Jackson, Mississippi. Elvis raised $108, 860 to help residents who were affected by the devastation. The audio for this show is damaged beyond repair. However, 'Spirit Of Jackson, MS
' includes two other shows from the State Fair Coliseum. Just over a month after the charity show, Elvis performed in Jackson again and this show is featured on Disc 2. Disc 1 stays at the same venue for a concert given in September 1976.
Kate Moss has followed up her sensational wearing of an Elvis shirt
(No we don't know where she got it) with an official music video
recorded to accompany the third song taken from the number one album 'The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
'. Talking about being involved in the promo, Kate said: 'I was so excited to be asked to be involved in this project, anything for Elvis'..

On November 28 & 29, 1976 Elvis performed two shows at the Cow Palace in the flower-city San Francisco. These shows have been regarded as some of Elvis' finest performances during this busy bicentennial year for The King. Gathered here in a beautiful 2-disc digipack, Elvis : Double Date At The Gate, is both shows in excellent quality. Unfortunately, the sound engineer was not able to capture the whole shows while recording, but on this release, you will find every second that was captured. 'If I Can Dream' was the dynamic production duo of Don Reedman (Barbra Streisand
, Michael Crawford) and Nick Patrick (Plácido Domingo, Il Divo). Reedman first approached executive producer Priscilla Presley
with the idea to marry vintage Elvis vocal tracks with the RPO at famed Abbey Road Studios in London, and it was an idea she wholly embraced. Buoyed by the reception of If I Can Dream, the production Dream Team reunited to emerge with another stellar Elvis/RPO offering, 'The Wonder of You: Elvis Presley With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
' (RCA/Legacy), a worthy sequel if ever there was.
'The Wonder Of You: Elvis Presley With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra' CD has climbed back from No. 131 to No. 98 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, while it has dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 on the Billboard Classical Album chart. MRS have released the 2CD/100page book compilation titled 'Memphis Recording Service: The Complete Works 1953-1955' and our order is on the way to us.
The 100-page book
chronicles Elvis' short recording career there, from its humble beginnings (his personal acetate recordings from July 1953 and January 1954) through to the final Sun sessions in 1955. The full and comprehensive text is complemented by rare photographs and unseen pieces of documentation. The 2CD's
contain the complete archival studio recordings from 1953-1955: Elvis' personal acetates, the Sun masters, along with rare session outtakes. The tracks have been painstakingly remastered
and restored. There are many highlights on this new release. All of the newly remastered tracks now sound much clearer and crisper
. Indeed, all previous erroneous mastering faults and miscalculations have been rectified on this release, making it the best collection thus far.
Sony has done some outstanding reissues featuring Elvis, including taking some chances with the King. This 'new' Elvis Presley album includes the King singing lovely with his backing band at the time with newer overdubs by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. This is the second time this has been done, telling me people are digging it.
I found myself really liking the first album, 'If I Can Dream
', simply for the fact they cherrypicked some of El's best vocal performances and added simple, organic and extremely tasteful snippets of the Royal Philharmonic. The results were surprisingly good, with the string arrangements totally unobtrusive to the main instrument, being Elvis' voice. 'The Wonder of You
' focuses less on El's big, well-known hits for '70s material featuring the master soul-mining newer pop material, and, many times, far surpassing the 'original' versions. Elvis' band at the time was top-notch in the studio, so that was an important element for this to work. Well-recorded and mixed, the songs stand by themselves.

This 2nd volume features four of the recorded shows and each collected here for the first time in this 4-CD Boxed set in the best quality available. FTD have released 'Elvis Gold Records Vol. 4' as a Special Edition 2 CD set in their Classic Album Series, and our order is on the way to us now.
It was 10 years after the release of Elvis' Golden Records in 1958, that RCA Victor released Elvis' Gold Records Volume 4. It contained seven 'B' sides and only five 'A' sides. Whether at the behest of Colonel Tom Parker
, or RCA, the philosophy of not including tracks that already featured on existing albums weakened what could have been a more powerful and hit-laden compilation.
Spliced Takes T-R-O-U-B-L-E CD. Finally a 'seventies' album! CMT is proud to present their latest release which promises to be another winner! Again the STAR team has done all the edits on this album, and they did an even better job, with lots of excellent edits, and surprises. Unlike other 'import' labels, they truly were able to produce an album using many incomplete takes, to create beautiful new tracks. Their professional edits will blow you away, and will make you believe these are unreleased takes.
Perfect for the holidays, and another winner here! The best seasonal songs and gospels are included here. Every year there are some 'new' Elvis Christmas Albums ... they all have the same tracks over and over ... how nice to have something really new now!
One of THE highlights must be the alternate version of 'Winter Wonderland' it has a totally new approach and alternate ending which sound amazing! Another cool edit is the 'single' version of 'Merry Christmas Baby' without the overdubbs! 'The First Noel' sounds as if it is a RPO version, the original master was edited with the 2008 overdubbed version, and makes it more powerful then ever! As a bonus a 'duet' version of 'Mama Liked The Roses' is included, Elvis recorded two vocal overdubbs, these are combined here to get a very unusual version.
