Doncha' Think It's Time - A new 1958 Album CD. A brand-new '58' album including amazing new spliced takes and remastered masters. On the FTD album 'King Creole new mixes of the studio masters were released, these were done by Thorne Nogar and had studio snippets, like small talk and counting of to the takes, although it is nice to have it does not play as it should. Here presented for the first time are those masters without that. Also included are some new and unreleased 'spliced takes of other songs from 1958 as well as some 'essential' home recordings, also edited for your listening pleasure. The highlight of this album must be both 'reversed' masters of the title track 'Doncha Think It's Time' for both masters four takes were used, on this album the same four takes are used, but this time they used the parts that were not released at the time so you get two COMPLETE new versions of this great song. Also not to be missed is the newly created version of 'Ain't That Loving You Baby' which starts of with the slow version and ends with the rockin' version.
Elvis 27 - Essential Sixties Splices Volume 3 CD. The series continues and focusses on1962; Elvis was 27 when he recorded all these great tracks. Amazing new tracks are created for your listening pleasure. One of the highlights is 'Just Tell Her Jim Said Hello' which has been created using different keys throughout the whole track, it sounds like a brand-new song! 'Return To Sender' sounds very different and has a new opening. Another gem is the version of 'Because of Love' and although there are no outtakes of this song it does sound different then the master, listen to the first words and judge for yourself. Most songs have been extended using different takes which mean just like previous volumes you get more of the songs without using the same portions.
The Madison import label is back, and has announced a new CD release, 'A Legendary Performer Volume 9'. From the press release: After a long break (believe it or not, our last release dated back to 2009), the Madison label is back with a number of new releases to delight you. One of our favorite projects was the Legendary Performer volumes, and we are continuing with this series with many new volumes in the pipeline. Our plan is to include many unreleased tracks - which is very rare nowadays, as most releases offer nothing new.
Elvis Sold Out Vol 5 | 2 x DVD Set is a fantastic new volume in the smash series of DVDs and features exclusive and Uber rare footage for the first time ever of elvis performing in Lake Tahoe amongst other locations all in great great quality.
Elvis -The Alternate 1969 Recordings is a great collection of alternate recordings from Elvis' legendary Memphis recording sessions at the American Sound Studio in 1969 + an alternate version of 'Let Us Pray' with unique backing vocals recorded for Universal's movie 'Change Of Habit'. This cd features over 20 rare tracks officially unreleased + 4 Bonus Tracks taken from acetates. Elvis -The Alternate 1969 Recordings is a nice addition to Elvis Presley - American Sound 1969, a 5 disc set from Elvis' official record company.
Elvis Sings Don't Cry Daddy And Other Great Songs | Elvis live at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. This cd contains 29 tracks - great audience recordings from February 1970, including the February 21, midnight show. Other recordings are 'See See Rider' from the February 5, dinner show, 'Suspicious Minds' with reprise from the February 20, midnight show, the one-liner 'When The Swallows Come Back To Capistrano' from the February 21, dinner show, + more great recordings!
Elvis Sings Polk Salad Annie And Other Great Songs contains 18 recordings from February and August 1970, all recorded at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Including rehearsals and live recordings, like a soundboard recording from 'Polk Salad Annie' from the February 16, 1970 midnight show, five soundboard recordings from the February 19, 1970 dinner show and rehearsal recordings from August 4, 7 and 10, 1970.
Return To The Queen City of The South (3 CD Set) | In 2010 Audionics label released a fantastic double CD called 'Springtime Tours '76 - '77'. We have presented a bulk of the Johnson City, TN, March 17th, 1976 tour opening show in the straight stereo mix and Charlotte, March 20th, 1976 evening show in the pure binaural sound as well as the selection of various 1977 stereo live recordings. Now, we believe, the right time has come for the ultimate upgrade of March 1976 material combined with two Charlotte shows from 1977!
Paradise Road Records presents 'Oh, Happy Day'- Elvis live at the International hotel in Las Vegas. This cd contains a great audience recording from the August 14, 1970 Midnight Show PLUS camera sound recordings from this show (from the MGM tapes). Elvis is singing great songs like 'Oh, Happy Day', 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', 'Folsom Prison Blues' and 'I Walk The Line'... A very remarkable show. Elvis was in a really goofy mood and introduced himself as Johnny Cash. He seemed to be really enjoying this show, despite the cameras and the house lights being up so MGM could film him. He changed the words to the several songs and really had fun messing them up.
MGM's Golden Globe-winning movie ELVIS ON TOUR was released in 1972. On the movie poster was mentioned: 'MGM presents a very different motion picture that captures all the excitement of ELVIS LIVE!'. This catchphrase says it all. Unfortunately, there never was a soundtrack album available for this movie. Now available is Elvis On Tour: The Singles Collection deluxe 45RPM boxset containing 6 beautiful 45's & a bonus CD containing some of the musical highlights from this movie. Available in RED of BLUE vinyl.
Elvis: Country Ballads CD in the well-received 'Ballads' series is 'Country Ballads'. As a follow-up to 'California Ballads' and after the great success of the previous releases 'Nashville Ballads', 'Memphis Ballads' & 'Vegas Ballads' this is a compilation of some of his best country style ballads.
The Ol' Swivel Hips Still Wows' Em | April - May 1977 deluxe box set is focused on the third tour of 1977. Elvis' live performances in 1977 are often criticized and not without a reason. But Elvis was still offering his fans an enjoying time, the magic of seeing Elvis in person probably exceeded the fact he often delivered a standard and sometimes even mediocre performance. The reactions of the spectators are very telling. They scream, shout and get wild for their hero. While listening to the recordings of these shows you cannot draw any other conclusion than that the shows were below par. But the charisma of Elvis was enormous, which probably made this unnoticed by most of the fans present. This set mostly contains soundboard & multitrack recordings but also contains two rare audience recordings. These high-quality audience recordings of the April 27 & 30 performances deserve a place in this box set. Both being first-class audience recordings and remastered from scratch to achieve an optimal listening experience. This 6 cd set includes a wonderful booklet with many rare and unpublished photos.

Don't miss out on this wonderful limited edition album.
Imagine you could 'Get Back in time' ..... Last summer fans were surprised with the release of the 'And I Love You So' DVD, never before we had seen a concert from '76 in this quality and of course a follow up HAD to be done. This time we have Get Gack | The Fantasy Series volume 2 DVD Set and they chose footage from 71/72. Elvis is in great shape, not only his amazing voice but the moves and spirit he brings on stage, unfortunately, was probably the last time fans got to witness this.
'Roustabout At The Fair' is another nice 'spliced' album with lots of surprises, this time the producers choose to use both 'Roustabout' and 'It Happened At The World's Fair'. Combined you get a new fresh album which sounds like it's brand new mainly due to the clever edits which also brings extended and very different sounding versions of master tracks.
After his '69 comeback on stage Elvis wanted more. In 1970 there were two more seasons in Vegas, both were partly recorded for a live release. (On Stage and That's The Way It Is). 'To Good To Be True - Live Chronicles volume 3' is a 2 disc set with lots and lots of songs were tried out, some stayed in the show, some were only sung once. The title of this new CMT album lives up to their name since it has an amazing collection of live songs, presented on 2 discs, one for the February Season, and one for the August Season. Like the previous releases in this series, the edits make it sound like it is one great live show... which would be... 'To Good To Be True'.
Let's first explain the phenomenon 'Matrix Recording'. A Matrix recording mix is a cunning mix of soundboard/multitrack recordings with audience recordings. Sometimes soundboard recordings can sound dull. The main reason for this is that the sound engineer probably wanted to catch one particular aspect of the performance. This can be the singing voice of the artist, or one of the instruments. These soundboard recordings can miss a lot of the ambiance that the spectators were experiencing. An audience recording mostly never sounds dull but the quality of the singing voice of the artist is obviously of lesser sound quality. But mixing these two creates a whole new magic. Now you can enjoy the shows as if you were there!
The wonderful Work In Progress: The Companion Album 2 LP + 45RPM + CD set is packed with unreleased tracks like : Blue eyes crying in the rain, The fool, Susan when she tried, Help me, Funny how time slips away and many many more. In 1980 Felton Jarvis, Elvis' record producer for the last decade came to the remarkable idea to freshen up some of Elvis' recordings. The idea was to add totally new backing tracks to Elvis' voice. This resulted in the 1981 record release of 'Guitar Man'. You hate it or you love it is probably the right thing to say about the album. Felton was convinced Elvis would have loved it. The original album contained 10 songs. But Felton worked on a bunch of other songs to see if they would suit the project. This special LP / CD & 45 RPM set contains many of those unreleased versions that never made it to the record. Also included are some unreleased unfinished versions of tracks that did make it to the final GUITAR MAN album.
Petticoat Records presents: The Soundboard Series Volume 1 LP + CD. Until now 'Petticoat' mainly released studio highlights on high quality vinyl. Now Petticoat Records presents a fantastic collection of live performances. This first volume features some of the best live performances in Elvis' career. Many of these tracks were only performed live very few times and are making their vinyl debut!
The Elvis Concert Fan label is proud to come up with more highlights and rarities from Elvis live on stage from 1969 to 1977 with 'Stage Highlights & Rarities' Four, Five and Six. On this album you'll find a great collection of songs and moments recorded in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and on tour from the greatest entertainer of all time!
The Elvis: And I Love You So | Limited edition DVD contains an almost complete show from 1976 with a running time of 56 minutes, including 17 COMPLETE performances with some incredible UNRELEASED footage in this quality!! After 'the good old days' when we had lots of TTWII and On Tour outtakes we did not get anything new for a long time... With many other video releases containing amateur footage, usually are out of synch, to slow/fast and very VERY bad edits. This changes now! No skips and bumps so you can enjoy the man as you should!
A Whole Lotta Power Going On Deluxe Digipack 2 CD set features over 2,5 hours of incredible cuts! This year marks the 50th anniversary of Elvis June/September recordings in Nashville, where other labels only re-re (re) release the same over and over CMT continues their 'Power' series with this third instalment, after last year's 'Ghetto Power' and the first release 'Stax Power' this release had to be done and might be the best one yet! Again the editing on this album makes all songs 'blend in' so you will get the feeling as if you are in the actual session, with lots of rare snippets and surprises. All tracks from the 'Nashville 1970 Sessions' have been included in this 2 CD set, with clever spliced takes for a whole new experience.
To be released soon is 'October 1976', a 5 CD boxset with 7 shows from October 1976.
The Elvis Concert Fan label is proud to come up with a new CD series, 'Stage Highlights & Rarities', featuring highlights and rarities from Elvis live on stage from 1969 to 1977. A great collection of songs and moments recorded in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and on tour from the greatest entertainer of all time!
'I Think I'm Gonna Like this release...' Last years 'Viva Las Vegas' release was a real winner and included lots of new and fresh sounding tracks with cool edits. Fun In Acapulco | Spliced Takes Special CD is no different and will surprise you with a great new soundtrack which includes 13 (!!) new and unreleased spliced takes. Almost all tracks have a longer running time due to the clever use of different takes. The title track has been re-edited and sounds like a completely new take! The same goes for 'Rhumba In A Sports Car' which has also been extended.
Work In Progress | The Guitar Man Album Sessions Volume 1 CD Set. In 1980 Felton Jarvis, Elvis' record producer for the last decade came to the remarkable idea to freshen up some of Elvis' recordings. The idea was to add totally new backing tracks to Elvis' voice. This resulted in the 1981 record release of 'Guitar Man'. Felton was convinced Elvis would have loved it. The original album contained 10 songs (which all can be heard in a wonderful newly remastered sound quality on this new 2 CD set). But Felton worked on a bunch of other songs to see if they would suit the project. This special 2 CD set contains many of those unreleased versions that never made it to the record. Also included are some unreleased unfinished versions of tracks that did make it to the final GUITAR MAN album.
The legendary 40 Greatest! 2 CD Set PINK ALBUM is now available on a deluxe double compact disc set. Elvis' 40 Greatest, originally released (on Arcade) in 1974 and UK's biggest-selling album over the Christmas period of that year, but along with all albums on K-tel, Ronco and Arcade, it was ineligible for the UK Albums Chart until 1975 because it was felt that heavy TV advertising and low pricing distorted the charts. It finally reached number one on the UK Albums Chart in 1977, and became the 10th best-selling album of the 1970s in the UK.
Southbound was originally released in 1998 featuring the August 31 1976 show from Macon Georgia. The 7th tour of 1976 is not known as being the best tour in Elvis' career. During this particular show Elvis appeared demotivated. He was definitely struggling to get to the end of this engagement. Most likely the crowd never even noticed this as they go wild like always as Elvis delivered a mediocre performance.
Hometown Memphis is a 6 CD set to be released soon. This is a limited numbered set of 300 copies.
Next up in the well-received 'Ballads' series is 'California Ballads '. As a follow up for 'Hollywood Ballads' and after the great success of the previous releases 'Nashville Ballads', 'Memphis Ballads' & 'Vegas Ballads' this is a compilation of some of his best California ballads. Housed in a beautiful deluxe 6-panel digipack.
Petticoat records is back with The Elvis Presley Way CD & LP Record. This time with a fantastic vinyl album full of late-sixties classics. This high-quality album (including bonus CD) featuring 14 rare and hard to find alternate versions of these classics is now available. Great stuff: beautiful ballads as well as some great rockers! CMT returns with Elvis Presley 'Vegas Throat', an incredible follow up to last years 'I'm Evil'. Presented in a six-panel digipack, limited to 500 copies, this one will be sold out before Christmas! Every Elvis fan of course will know that this year marked the 50th anniversary of Elvis returning to the stage. An amazing 11 disc boxset was released and although it is a must, it is most likely it will be played often because most shows are pretty much the same as the one before. CMT has made an outstanding 'Ultimate' release which includes ALL the songs (29 tracks!) from the shows in ONE performance! Lots of time and effort went into the editing and it sounds like one complete show. This is the one you will be playing over and over, this is why we are Elvis fans; to enjoy his music!
The ELVIS Movie | Starring Kurt Russell with the soundtrack of Elvis Presley! It's the same story but the performances have made an incredible upgrade with Ronnie McDowell's soundtrack replaced with the only soundtrack that should have been there in the first place -- Elvis'. In addition, lots more music has been included along with blockbusters like 'Walk the Line' and 'Great Balls of Fire', giving the movie a more 'professional' touch. And rare Elvis Presley live versions and outtakes were handpicked to find the best matching songs for the scenes. Kurt Russell's 'playbacking' looks much more natural and real than before, and how cool it is to hear the actual radio broadcast (Dewey Phillips) from the time when 'That's All Right' was first played on the air, or to hear 'The Blackwood Brothers' at the funeral of Elvis his mother Gladys.
Coming this week from Venus Productions is 'The Guitar Player Worth A Damn', volume 4 in their 'The King in Motion' series. Elvis By Request Of Japanese Fans was originally released as a 4 LP set in 1980 this set has always been a fan favorite. Not only this is one of the best compiled Elvis releases of all time, but also the cover art drew some attention. Now available on vinyl: My, It's Been A Long Long Time, originally released in 1998 and featuring probably the best show of (already) the 5th tour of 1976. This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
