For The Billionth And The Last Time : Lifting the Lid on the King's record sales
How many records has Elvis actually sold? Did he really sell One Billion records as has been claimed. Nick Keene has researched this subject in depth with help from Ernst Jorgensen and Sony BMG and has compiled the following report. This is a work in progress and will continue to be until the full facts finally emerge. Like a jigsaw puzzle the pieces are slowly coming together and beginning to make sense. Updated April, 2008.

The Seventies Revisited : An Alternative Singles Policy
In a previous article I dealt with the period from 1963 to 1968 when Elvis and his fans suffered from a poor selection of tracks which were chosen for release as singles. I outlined what I thought was an alternative release schedule that would in my opinion have kept him firmly in the Top Ten. In this article I examine the 1970's in much the same way.

Elvis - The Way It Should Have Been?
Back in the sixties one of the many frustrations suffered by Elvis fans was the way RCA went about choosing his singles between March 1963 and the end of 1968. I will demonstrate that with a little more acumen Elvis Presley's chart positions could have been far better if greater thought had been given to his singles releases.

Elvis at the Movies
Is it the time for a chart busting compilation CD? Not for the first time some Elvis fans are beginning to worry that an endless recycling of his most famous songs-not forgetting the re-release of his old number one singles in the UK-will lead people to think that Elvis has made nothing else worth listening to and so never discover the true scope and depth of his unique musical legacy.

The Complete Louisiana Hayride Archives 1954-1956 CD From MRS : CD / 100 page book
The MRS / JAT Productions release of The Complete Louisiana Hayride Archives 1954-1956 CD is a dream come true but I can't as there was no anticipation something like this would ever be released. For years now we have had the basic el cheapo compilation of the basic tracks but now we have a full CD with a running time of over 75 minutes that gives a very good overview of Elvis in concert in the 1950s. This CD is presented exactly the same as the MRS releases Off Duty With Private Presley Book Deluxe CD set, Tupelo Welcomes Home Elvis Presley Deluxe CD set and Such A Night in Pearl Harbor CD and 100 page Book set.

Video Preview: Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD
Tupelo's Own Elvis Presley DVD + 16 page booklet. Never before have we seen an Elvis concert from the 50's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered Unreleased Film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don’t Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever. This is an excellent release no fan should be without it. The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people.
