Here we have a video of Elvis at Easter, 1957. This was a party to celebrate Sam Phillips' new house, in Memphis; the child at 0:35 is his son. At 0.:38 (and beyond) next to the monkey is Dewey Phillips, first DJ to ever play an Elvis record on the air. And of course the girl sitting next to Elvis is Yvonne Lime. Possibly the monkey is Sam Phillips himself, playing with Elvis. At 0:33 Elvis is 'caught' on video SMOKING--GASP! He once bought back a photo a fan took of him smoking a cigar just so it wouldn't get out. Elvis often told the press he didn't drink or smoke. He rarely did drink but he liked cigars. He's smoking an actual cigarette in this clip.

This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.

The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
