Got in the mail today The Definitive Vinyl Artwork of Elvis Presley 56-77 by Joe Tunzi JAT Publishing....
As a Elvis Collector.... I am pleased !
Here's some of the reasons' why....
First of all, with flipping through the book this afternoon, I found right away, my first reaction and thought,
was that, in how this book was put together and presented in the chronological form that it is in...I couldn't help
but right away be pleased and think to myself, where in my opinion, I could not see any better way of presenting
the Elvis 45 record sleeves, Elvis EP & Elvis LP Covers
the way that it is presented in this book.
I found a few things' interesting to me as a collector, right off the bat....it was great to see for the first time for me,
the full picture of what was used on the EP "Elvis Sails"...
(as for many of these covers seeing the original photo prior to
lettering add on, of any the Elvis Photos was and is very interesting to me)
Something else which I thought was rather cool on a side note and which caught my eye right away
was seeing for the first time an alternate version "in Color" of the "Having Fun With Elvis on Stage"
(In fact right away, my plan is to make a copy of this for the CD Insert of the CD release for my own personal collection)
Seeing pictures which were used on the 45, EP & LP Covers' which I assume were originally printed by mistake by RCA
(for whatever the reason as a reverse or not correct angle photo was done many times' by RCA...in the 60's and 70's)
Seeing these pictures that were not the correct angle and now presented in the correct angle in this book...
again, to me was very cool to see and I am glad to say, now preserved in book form.
Again, as Elvis Collector who loves Elvis Book's , I must say Job Well done by JAT & Team ! I am Pleased !
I'm glad I own the book and I believe most Elvis collectors who buy this book will be too !!....

Never before have we seen an Elvis Presley concert from the 1950's with sound. Until Now! The DVD Contains recently discovered unreleased film of Elvis performing 6 songs, including Heartbreak Hotel and Don't Be Cruel, live in Tupelo Mississippi 1956. Included we see a live performance of the elusive Long Tall Sally seen here for the first time ever. + Plus Bonus DVD Audio.
This is an excellent release no fan should be without it.
The 'parade' footage is good to see as it puts you in the right context with color and b&w footage. The interviews of Elvis' Parents are well worth hearing too. The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
